Moisturizing with proper hydration makes skin look healthy.

Moisturizing the skin is highly recommend to my clients after skin analyses no matter what skin type they have. First of all moisturizing reduces the chances of skin problems. Remember using the right kind of moisturizer for your skin can help maintain its balance. When the skin is too dry or too oily, many common skin problems like acne start to pop up. If your skin tends to be oily,  Oily skin is prone to acne and breakouts. Such skin still needs moisture, especially after using skin care products that remove oils and dry out the skin. Therefore a light moisturizer can also help protect your skin after washing. I think lotions are better than cream for proper hydration of oily skin.

I personally suffer from dry skin and it drives me nuts. If your skin tends to be dry like mine, look for a creamy moisturizer as a result– creamy moisturizers tend to have a higher oil content. For very dry and cracked skin, petrolatum-based products are preferable. They have more staying power than creams do and are more effective at preventing water from evaporating from your skin. I can’t stress enough how moisturizing you can reduce the appearance of blemishes. Freshly moisturized skin has a healthy sheen, which can even out any existing blemishes.

Important body parts that need constant moisturizing.

If you are trying to keep skin looking young moisturized skin is the way to go! I consider the face, ears, neck, and chest to be very sensitive areas of your body. Areas like face, ears, neck, and chest have daily loss of skin cells leaving these areas vulnerable to dryness. In fact, they are highest-risk areas for skin cancer. Moisturizing can help give your sensitive skin the boost it needs to repair itself and stay healthy.

Moisturizing the skin helps fights wrinkles.

That plump, firm feeling in your face after moisturizing isn’t an illusion.  I have noticed with my clients that properly moisturized skin accumulate wrinkles at just a fraction of the rate of those with dry skin. Furthermore make sure you’re choosing a moisturizer that works for your skin. You may have a favorite moisturizer boost it to the next level, adding a few drops of a hydrating serum – it pumps up your moisturizer with ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid and humectants to give you the ultimate hydration experience.

Best time to use a moisturizer.

In conclusion the perfect end to a shower is moisturizing. Let’s face it – a hot shower feels great and invigorating, but it strips the moisture right out of your skin. Taking just a minute to put on some moisturizer will make sure your skin isn’t only clean, but protected from the stresses of the day and feeling great. Moisturizers can be an essential part of a great skincare routine.
